Workshop environment with craftsman

Built on principle, not schedule

How we ended up making furniture that refuses to fall apart.

We started because someone asked us to fix a broken dining table that was only three years old. The joints had failed. The veneer was peeling. It wasn't fixable.

Quality timber selection

The turning point

That broken table led to a simple question: what would it take to build furniture that could actually be repaired twenty years from now?

The answer changed everything about our material choices, our joinery methods, and our relationship with time itself.

We stopped optimizing for speed and started optimizing for longevity. That decision meant walking away from certain techniques entirely.

2014 Year we shifted our entire approach

Our material philosophy

We source Australian hardwoods and sustainably harvested timber from suppliers we've worked with for years. Each board is inspected individually. We reject more than we accept.

No engineered wood. No particleboard. No shortcuts that compromise structural integrity.

The methods we use

Traditional joinery techniques that have proven themselves over centuries. Mortise and tenon joints. Dovetails where they belong. Dowel reinforcement in places that bear weight.

These take longer, but they allow for future repair and adjustment.

What guides our decisions

Every choice we make is filtered through one question: will this piece still be repairable in thirty years?

If the answer is no, we find another way.

How we operate

Custom sizing is standard

We don't stock pre-made pieces. Everything is built to order, which means we can adjust dimensions to fit your exact space without it becoming a special request.

Lead times that reflect reality

Most pieces take six to eight weeks from order to delivery. We don't pretend we can speed that up without compromising something.

Lifetime repair support

Because we use traditional construction methods, our furniture can be repaired. We offer refinishing and structural maintenance years after purchase.
